Date stuff

I have the sweetest husband in the entire world. I told him a few weeks ago that I wanted to go on a real date that didn't involve the usual dinner and a movie. I wanted something fun and unusual. He worked so hard and one Saturday afternoon he whisked me off to Bridal Veil falls where we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows over our stove grill and then we "speed dated". Jack had prepared 5 different guy scenarios and 5 different girl scenarios. We had thirty seconds to read through our character and then we had 60 seconds to "date". haha it was so much fun. I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time. I'm so grateful for a husband who goes out of his way to make things special.

Kenron Stuff

On Tuesday August 24th my sister in law went in to labor. She was 8 weeks early (due October 20th) so her labor was not exciting news to any of us. Kenron was born weighing 3 lbs 15 oz. and was immediately life flighted to Salt Lake. He is fighting hard and growing so strong every day. If you would like to learn more or keep up on their story you can visit his blog at KenronZaneWilkerson.blogspot.com

On August 25th Me, Jack and Kimberly drove to Salt Lake to meet Todd and Dana and my mom at the hospital and meet our little nephew for the first time. He is the sweetest little thing and we are so happy he is doing so well. We can't wait till he can come home! We love you Todd, Dana and Kenron!

School Shopping Stuff

I love when my mom and sisters come to visit. I feel so lucky because my sister Kimberly moved to Orem to go to UVU. I miss my family and I can't even explain how happy it makes me to have her so close. Now when my mom comes into town we all get together for some quality girl time.

Mom brought Halle into town to do her school shopping. We met up for dinner at Cafe Rio (would my mom go anywhere else?) and then my mom left our evening plans up to the girls. She should know better than to do that. We convinced her to stay up late and go to see Letters to Juliette in the dollar theater wearing our pajamas. She was mortified at the thought but she was such a trooper and actually went out in public in her PJ's. I love my mommers. I love that she does fun things with us and never passes up on an opportunity to make a memory. I love my sisters and I love that we all have such a tight bond in our family. I am so grateful for them!

Echo Lake 2010 stuff

I've recently been reminded that I haven't blogged in ages. It's mostly because I have no time, have no life and I rarely do anything blog worthy. I really am going to make a conscious effort to change that though. (the blogging part... I still doubt exciting things will happen in my life). I'll start with the most entertaining things we've done all summer. I hate summer. I think summer is only fun for kids who don't have to work and my mom who doesn't have to worry about the weather. I spend most of the time longing for October. Jack and I do have one summer tradition that we love though- we drive 10 hours to Echo Lake, Montana and spend a few days basking in the sun at Grandma and Grandpa Ady's cabin on the lake.

This year we decided to take a week off work and drive up. We had so much fun. I love spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Ady and I'm lucky that we get along so well. We got to spend time with all of Jack's siblings this year. We spent most of the time playing in the water. I loved having the whole week to lay in the sun. I got to read a book and play on the computer. I took naps and visited with my sister in laws. It was fabulous.

I love vacations and can't wait to go back again next year.
