Room Stuff

I've been so excited to decorate Charlie's room. Ever since we found out we were getting a boy I've been planning and sewing and looking for good deals everywhere. I finally finished the final product a few weeks ago and I am beyond excited about it. It turned out exactly the way I wanted. Now we just need our little munchkin to come use it!

I also need to send out a huge thanks to my mom who helped
with all the sewing and planning. And Jack for being such a great guy and helping set everything up.

Baby Stuff

It's been a long year for us. Many of you know the ups and downs we've dealt with trying to start our family. In December of last year we received the best Christmas present we could ever ask for. We found out we were going to be parents. Traditional is so not our style. Heavenly Father is sending us our baby through an amazing girl we know and love. I'm so very grateful for the blessing of adoption.

It's be a very long/emotional/exciting/crazy year. We were lucky enough to be involved since the beginning of her pregnancy. Although we kept it to ourselves for the most part we were able to spend the time preparing for our family like any other couple would. We went to doctor appointments, we were there when we found out we were getting a BOY, we spent hours browsing the baby section of every store and we stressed and worried over every detail.

Now the long wait is drawing to a close. On August 6th she is scheduled for her last ultrasound. The doctors say more than likely she will need a c-section and they'll let us know then when we can expect our baby. We're beyond ecstatic and can hardly wait for our bundle of joy.

Here's a sneak peak of our little Charlie.

Open House Stuff

Yesterday I met up with my family (minus Jack and Erik- sad we missed you guys) in Salt Lake and we visited the Oquirh Mountain temple. It was such a gorgeous temple. I feel so lucky to be able to enjoy the blessings that the temple brings into my family. I'm so grateful that I was able to be sealed to my parents for time and all eternity and to return and be sealed to my sweetheart almost 4 years ago.

4th of July Stuff

This year Jack had to work on the 4th of July so I met up with my mom and sisters/sister in law in Price and went to the wave pool. We had SO much fun. I picked up Cafe Rio before I left provo and we had lunch before we went swimming. Love Cafe Rio.

The pool was surprisingly empty for the 4th of July-so we got to enjoy all the waves and chatting without fighting all the little kids. It was so much fun to just laugh and let go wit
h the girls for the day. Most of our girl time is spent shopping so it was fun to do something we would all remember.

Thanks for a great day girls!

After I got home Jack and I met up with Sam and Tiffany to watch Fireworks. Jack and I have been married 4 years and never watched fireworks. We drove up on a hill above BYU and watched the stadium of fire light off. It was great.

Manti Pageant Stuff

Jack and I lived in Ephraim for 2 years and never made it down to the Manti Pageant. Every summer we talk about going and then we never make it. This year after a couple attempts we finally made it down there on the last night.

Every time we go to Ephraim we have to drive by all our old houses and reminice about the good old days. Days when we could live in a 3 bed 2 bath apartment for less than 500 dollars (and that included utilities) ah. Good times.
We drove around town for a while and stopped at Fat Jacks pizza for our favorite pizza and fat sticks. Mmm.... They had changed their name since we had been there last, which was kinda sad.

After dinner and town tour we headed to manti to see the pageant. It had been a long time since I'd seen it and it was Jack's first time. We had great seats and had a lot of fun eating junk food and watching the pageant. Good times.
