Love Stuff

Three years ago the man of my dreams held my hand as we walked out of the Salt Lake Temple. Tonight that same man peeked out the front door waiting for me to come home from work, he stood in the middle of the living room with a dozen roses and welcomed me home with a kiss that took my breath away, he waited patiently as I freshened up and then he took my hand again and I knew I couldn't have picked a greater guy to hold hands with for the rest of eternity.
I love you Jack.
Happy Anniversary.

Weekend Stuff

Every year I am in charge of planning our anniversary trip. We only had 2 so far but each time Jack has known exactly what we are doing. Which is not how we like to play things here. We're all for surprises. Anyway, this year I was going to make sure it was a surprise no matter what length I had to go to. Unfortunately, after all my hard work I wasn't so lucky. 20 minutes before we were headed out the door Jacks brother Adam called and left a voice mail saying "Hey I hear you guys are coming up to Logan for your anniversary..." I almost dropped my cereal and I burst into tears. (You have no idea how stressful keeping a secret is for me) So that sucked. I have no idea why Jack chose then of all times to listen to his voice mail (he never does) but he did. My surprise was ruined.

Luckily because I am such an amazing trip planner our weekend was a hit even if it wasn't a surprise. We spent the weekend in my college home town, Logan, UT. It was so much fun to be back after so many years. We ate hamburgers at our favorite cafe- Angies. (This alone makes the weekend great because we haven't eaten anything greasy or unhealthy for us in over a week. This dieting thing sucks.) Then we spent the afternoon touring the town. We went to Gossners cheese factory to buy cheap cheese and taste all the samples. We walked around Willow Park Zoo. Of course we went shopping, swimming and even made a stop for Aggie Ice Cream. Jack took me to dinner at the Copper Mill and then we watched House Bunny at the dollar theater. Of course we finished the night off eating pizza and watching South Park in bed. It was amazing.

Sunday we spent the day enjoying nature. We drove up Logan Canyon and walked along a "nature path" up there (sounds exciting eh?) The colors were gorgeous and we couldn't have picked a better weekend, weather wise, to spend time outside. Then we decided to make one last stop at the Willow Park Zoo so we could feed the ducks and play with the monkeys.

It was a perfect weekend.

Crash Stuff

So... (Jack says I start too many conversations that way) can you tell that my car has been in a massive wreck as of late?(Ignore the fact that it looks like it's one big wreck... I said "AS OF LATE")

Yeah me neither... unfortunately the car I ran into wasn't so lucky. Or maybe I wasn't so lucky. I sure didn't feel lucky as I felt the impact on that sad evening only a few short weeks ago. I felt even more unlucky as a put my car in reverse and saw that the car I had hit was a BMW.... a new BMW.... a new BMW with the dealer license plates still attached. Yep still makes me sick to this day.

I still wake up in cold sweats in the middle of the night. That awful dream that replays the smell of burning rubber, the sound of glass hitting the pavement and bumpers being destroyed, the shriek of small children as their mothers shield their eyes from the horrible sight that is my wreck. Unfortunately for this story it doesn't happen like that. In fact Jack says I can't even call it a Fender Bender (I still do). I was only going about 2mph and my car just casually bumped the person in front of me. It did cause a scratch though. And that scratch has caused more sadness and stress in my life than I ever thought possible.

The thing that sucks the most is that the FENDER BENDER was totally my fault. I take complete responsibility- except on the random days that I feel like blaming the sun (which was in my eyes) or my mother (whom I was speaking to on my cell phone). Other than that it was my fault. Regardless of whose fault it was (mother....) I have now paid the 517 dollars it cost to fix said scratch, and I am now back to driving around talking on my cell phone.

Crafty Stuff

Sorry I have not posted in so long. My handy dandy camera got sick... I think it's cancer- whatever it is I'm sure it's fatal because this sucker won't take pictures. So I'm trying desperately to find a replacement so I can grace you all with entertaining blogs about our life. In the meantime its quite possible you may get picture-less posts, I'll see what I can do.

Before our camera broke I did get some super sweet pictures of me being crafty. Now I struggle to share this with everyone because I did something I promised I would never do... I re-gifted someone's engagement photo as their wedding gift. After Jack and I got married we had a whole shelf dedicated to gifts people gave us with the exact same photo we gave them. I always laughed because we had hundreds left over so I never understood why someone would re-gift it to us. Regardless, I did it. I'm not proud of it and I won't do it again (unless I'm desperate for a picture of them) but take a look at how cute this magnet board turned out.

Work Party Stuff

For Jacks summer work party Nuskin decided to rent Lagoon for the evening and give all their employees free tickets. I'm still trying to calculate exactly how much they had to spend to do so and I'm pretty sure it's more than I'll make this year. Sucky. Anyway, after a short stop in Salt Lake to drop off one of Sam's co-workers (wow... I'm not even going to start telling you how weird that guy is) the four of us (Jack, Dayna, Sam and Tiffany) headed to Lagoon for an evening of fun. I was loving the fact that there were no lines on most of the rides. I think that's how Lagoon should be done! The weather was perfect and yes the Wicked is still as awsome as Jack remembers. I know some of these pictures are blury- my camera was freaking out cuz it was dark, but they were still so cute that I had to post them.

Mopping Stuff

The other night Jack and I spent hours cleaning our house. Actually I should rephrase. Jack cleaned most of the house while I took pictures so I could blog about what a great guy he is. I hope you all have one of these.

Husband Stuff

I have the cutest husband in the ENTIRE world. He is such a sweet heart and I love him so much. A couple weeks ago Jack had to work the Saturday shift and so I went shopping with my mom. I came home to a handsome hubby, roses, a necklace and a card that read "Happy Saturday"- for no reason at all. What a sweet heart. He does sweet things like this all the time. Which is one of the reasons I love him so much- here's a couple more....

1- He works hard at a job he doesn't enjoy
2- He lets me eat pizza
3- He takes out the garbage
4- He lets me vent about the same things over and over
5-He loves to get all dressed up and take me on special dates
Thanks babe for being the best... hubby... in the worrrrld. (He'll get the joke)
